Nectar's Keep Calm Poster
I normally hate posters featuring variations of the "Keep calm and carry on" original. But I like this one for two reasons: 1. It actually came out at a time when the British government was announcing budget cuts and 2. It advertises a loyalty card, so it makes sense (Nectar's partners included Sainsbury's, Homebase, BP, EDF Energy, the AA, Expedia.co.uk and points could also be collected at 450 online retailers including Amazon and eBay). Ok, and 3. The intervention is minimal: just one letter at the end and it completely changes the meaning. Read more about the campaign here.

Day One
It's been out for quite some time, I just remembered about it. Phenomenal idea, brilliant execution. Apparently they rolled off the campaign with an edit of a sunrise, filmed with 100 cameras across the U.S. Then did 19 documentaries of real people and their first day of retirement. Watch a little behind-the-scenes below. Case study here, on Droga5's site.

Liar Liar Pants On Fire
The body copy essentially tells Northwest Airlines to fuck off since according to the US Transportation Department, Southwest Airlines had the fewest customer complaints in all air carriers all over the country.

m ss ng p eces
Another cool name & logo I stumbled upon. They're a small creative production company from Brooklyn. Take a look at a short presentation film about the crew.

Generic Surplus
The "Generic Man" in the tag is not a generic man. I mean he might be but actually it's the mother-brand that generated the spin-off which is Generic Surplus. Anyway, neat name for a shoe brand. Or any brand.

Growin' Up's Tough
Plus I also found a cool radio ad that the stupid YouTube search bar on my dashboard can't seem to be able to pull up. So I'm just gonna give you the transcript. It's called "Roll Call". "Teacher: Maggie Brown / Pupil: Here! / Teacher: John Fox. / Pupil: Here! / Teacher: Moon Topaz Henderson? / Pupil (bored and embarrassed): ..Here.../ Country song: Her name's a bit too creative / And her parents are to blame / Now she's gotta go through life / With a stupid hippie name. / She needs Ragu 'cuz growin' up's tough / Give her Ragu / She's been through enough." Or just go here and listen to it.
