A Billion-dollar Shave

I really liked these guys ever since they went viral 2012 with their "Our Blades Are Fucking Great" ad, that oh, btw, their CEO wrote (and was also in). Fast forward 4 years, Unilever buys DollarShaveClub for a billion dollars. I hope they don't turn it into one of those bland, brainwashed, impersonal, me-too brands that big corporations like so much.

Home Is In The Air

A friend was once telling me her new place won't feel like a home until she makes roasted peppers in her new kitchen. Which I totally agreed with since that's probably one of the most familiar childhood smells for a lot of people (in Romania, at least). So yeah, I guess I have a new favorite slogan.

Dollar Shave Club Now With Tazers, Tranquilizer Darts And Free Gifts

Second Puberty & Frank Sack

I think this is the sequel to the Shave Everywhere campaign, as far as I remember. The video is pretty boring so you can skip it. But "Second Puberty" deserves a thumbs up both as an insight and as a campaign name. Anyway, the story of Frank Sack, mentioned in the end, deserves to be told. Watch it below.

Bodygrooming

The intro to the Shave Everywhere campaign website for Philips Norelco's bodygrooming kits. Unfortunately the site is nowhere to be found at the moment. Had shitloads of cool stuff and went viral at the time.

Susan Glenn

Yeah, I know it's not really news but I was just talking about her in the previous post and then realized I hadn't posted it here.

You Can Say Anything With a Smile

It's funny because it's true. Reminds me of another ad that I never actually saw but some friends told me about. Something about being able to say anything with music, done by MTV some years ago. Anyway, if anyone knows what I'm talking about, make a comment and leave a link. Thanks.
