Wellington in a Pint

The Cool Beer Names that Are Pretty Hard to Remember series continues. There's no such series, there's just one previous post about beer names. Anyway, Clemenger BBDO Wellington tried to put their city in a beer. Literally. They got a bunch of ideas from locals and finally made 4 craft beers inspired by the city.

Bye Bye Blanket Man, a tribute to Wellington's well-known nude hobo (he's not that famous), Celia Wade-Brown Ale, named after the city mayor (contains her favorite coffee), Cooked Strait - seaweed smoked over driftwood from New Zealand's South Coast and Kawanka Cable Car Classic - red, like the cable car which inspired the name plus it also contains the leaves along its track.

A short case study of the project, here.
